Vignette is a timber pavilion design inspired by barn and farmhouse typologies found across rural New England. The pavilion features a large gathering space on the first level and a second story loft for viewing the surrounding nature at a higher elevation. Vignette uses a 2-story division for the design like many farmhouses using a different elevation layout than the higher levels. Archways decorate the first floor allowing for a wide viewing range of the surrounding while the second floor uses a gallery of windows to recreate the idea of “vignettes”.
