Surface Scallop
FALL 2022 / ARC557 / Prof. Max Jarosz
The project uses the scallop surface as an exploration in colored light manipulations on painted surfaces. With a 3D print of the surface, a silicone mold was made and three versions were casted; grey, pink, and tri-tone. The tri-color surface was sprayed blue, pink, and white and photographed under using various light colors, creating the below range. The project examines how colored light and projections can play with 3d surfaces to replicate our high-saturation fantasies from drawings.
